1. Your question needs reworded. The greenhouse effect is what we call the gasses (Co2, methane, ect ect) that build in our atmosphere trapping heat on the planets surface. As for what it does to our planet, just take a look outside. Stronger storms then normal, melting ice, seasonal change vanishing, weather patterns changing, the list goes on and on.
