How does the pH value effects the taste as well as the effervescent effect?
I found in the ingredients of the drinks contain compounds that makes the taste as well as the effervescent effect. Some of it are acids while others are something else. So, how does this effects the taste and the effervescent effect of the drink?

- Lower pH (acidic) tend to produce a sour taste, while higher pH (basic) produces a bitter taste. In carbonated drinks, an acid and a base interact together and neutralize, releasing gas from the aqueous solution. This is the effervescent effect: ex: citric acid + sodium bicarbonate ---> H20 + C02 + sodium citrate Naturally, taste is also influential of other added ingredients in the drink..
